What is Ledger® Live Wallet?
Ledger® Live is the official desktop and mobile interface for Ledger® hardware wallets. It lets you manage accounts, send and receive supported cryptocurrencies, install apps on your device and check balances securely. Available as a Ledger Live Desktop application for Windows/macOS/Linux and a mobile Ledger Live App for iOS/Android.
Download & Login
For a safe start always download Ledger® Live from the official site. Install the Desktop or mobile App, connect your Ledger® hardware device, then open Ledger® Live and follow the Ledger Live login flow to unlock accounts. Ledger® Live uses your device PIN and device confirmations for transactions — the app itself never stores private keys.
Troubleshooting common login issues
- Ledger Login not working: ensure the device is updated and unlocked with the correct PIN. Try a different USB cable/port for desktop.
- Error connecting Ledger® account: close and reopen Ledger® Live, reconnect the hardware wallet, and confirm prompts on-device.
- Ledger Live App not working: clear app cache (mobile), update the app, and reboot your phone.
- Can't verify Ledger® Wallet: confirm firmware & Ledger® Live versions match recommended releases and that you used the factory-generated recovery phrase only during device setup.
Unable to Ledger Trezor / migrating from Trezor
If you're attempting to migrate accounts from a Trezor device, note that Ledger® and Trezor are independent hardware ecosystems. You cannot "import" the Trezor device itself into Ledger® — but you can restore accounts by using the underlying recovery phrase with compatible software (only if you control the phrase). Always follow official migration guidance and never share a recovery phrase online.
Account recovery & 2FA reset
Ledger® hardware wallets use a recovery phrase (seed) for account recovery — not email or password resets. If you lose your device, you can restore accounts on a new Ledger® with your recovery phrase. There is no Ledger®-managed 2FA to "reset" — additional two-factor methods are for third-party services only. If a service linked to Ledger® requires 2FA, follow that service’s recovery steps.
When to contact Ledger® Help Center
Reach out to the official Ledger® Help Center for unresolved issues, firmware updates, or suspected security incidents. Avoid social media direct messages that claim to be support — always verify the URL and contact details.
